It is Pentecost Sunday. Wear red if you wish. Jews from all over the known world gathered in Jerusalem for the annual Pentecost celebration. What they were not expecting was Galilean Jews speaking in many native tongues. What they heard was the language of Jesus’ love. While we may never possess this supernatural ability of the Holy Spirit, we can still speak to people the language of Jesus’ love in ways that impact where they are in their lives today. This way we can show people the wonders of God as they struggle in an unlovable world. This week’s sermon will show you how.

Let us pray: O Lord, speak Your love to us in our native tongue. This way we can speak to show it ways so others hear and see Your love and believe it. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
In His Love, Pastor Dan “Utterly amazed, they asked: ‘Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans? Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language?’” Acts 2:7-8 NIV |
Mothers receive special gifts along with a special prayer.
Mother’s Day Brunch in-between services on Sunday hosted by the Lay Elder Deacons
As Jesus ascended into Heaven the disciples and His followers were looking up. This week God’s Word moves us to look up to Jesus seeing Him empowering us to step up more in love. In the sermon you will be shown how.
Let us pray: O Lord, move us to look up and see You so we can step up our love for others. In Jesus’ Ascended Name we pray. Amen.
In His Movement,
Pastor Dan
The angels speaking to the Disciples: “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.” Acts 1:11 ESV

Our normal worship schedule returns this week at Messiah. Sunday at 9am or 11am, and Wednesday at 7pm. All the same worship theme, hymns, and sermon.
Keeping the celebration of Easter alive can be difficult as the joy of the season is marked with a stark contrast to the struggles we encounter every day. Jesus prepared His Disciples for His resurrection by predicting His sacrifice to die for them that He was about to make in love. This week God’s Word helps us find joy in His acts of love as we face life’s most difficult moments, whatever they may be.
Let us pray: O Lord, help us find joy in the struggles of life to see the promises of Your resurrection as real for us today. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
In His Love,
Pastor Dan
Jesus said: “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:12-13 ESV

Our Unity Worship and Fellowship Tour concludes this Sunday at 9 AM at Messiah with one service for the week for all three congregations. Sunday School will begin before Communion. Cheryl Sennett will meet your child in the Narthex and escort them to the Sunday School area. Fellowship time follows worship where we want your input as we consider whether or not to merge the congregations.
The worship theme: Seeking God’s Wisdom in Witnessing and Outreach. I will be preaching on: “Never Stop Inviting.”
Messiah's bulletin for the worship service is attached including up-to-date prayer requests and announcements. This Sunday includes a Youth Bake Sale. They are looking for baked good donations. If you would like to contribute, please call/text Sam Anderson at 608-312-6683.
Messiah’s Senior Choir will be singing accompanied by Flutist June Cook. Also, my wife Berta will be singing a solo hymn of reflection.
We will be celebrating April Birthdays for all three congregations during Fellowship Time.
Let us pray: O Inviting Lord, Your resurrection proves You have the power over death. We will celebrate that victory in the eternal banquet to come. For now, give us courage to keep inviting more to that grand celebration. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
In His Unity,
Pastor Dan
