Friday from Noon to 3 PM come worship at Trinity Lutheran at 1850 Cranston Rd. in Beloit for the Tre Ore service. I will be preaching in the first hour on one of Jesus’ Last Word (phrases) while He hung on the Cross: “Father, Forgive Them….” The Senior Choir will be singing as well. It is a chance to hear 7 other pastors from area sister congregations.
Tenebrae service is at Messiah at 7pm. We look at the narratives from the Gospel of Mark to frame Jesus’ suffering and death as a battle of good and evil, light and dark, Jesus and Satan. We already know the outcome so why review the battle? The power of God’s Word helps us better understand the depths, widths, and heights of what Jesus suffered and died to give us. God humbly bless you in this service, so this Easter Sunday has special meaning to your celebration of eternal life with Jesus. Tiffany Koenitzer will be playing the flute and Jim Waters will be singing "Glory Be to Jesus."
Let us pray: O Lord, Your Word gives strength. Helps us remember that You do not forget us, forgive us, and have won the ultimate Battle for us. Help us find peace in the midst of better appreciating Your Passion. In Jesus’ Name. Amen. Please join us for one or all these Holy Week Services. Blessings, Pastor Dan “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David!” Mark 11:9-10 ESV
