We continue our “God’s 10 Commandments of Love” looking at the 2nd Commandment. How do we honor the Name of the Lord? What kind of power does it have? What does it mean to take it in vain? How do we misuse it? Why is that so problematic? Wednesday, be blessed by the Name of the Lord for good ways to speak His Name and call upon Him to bless you.
Before worship enjoy a free dinner at 5:45pm in the Fellowship Hall On the Menu:

“God has highly exalted him (Jesus) and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11 ESV

Water is needed for the human body to live. Our Scripture readings mention two ways water can be consumed: physically and spiritually. How does water spiritually save and how can we receive and share this everlasting water with others? Let the Lord bless you with refreshment and a quenching of your spiritual thirst.
Messiah’s Choir sings during the 9am service
Let us Pray: Dear Lord, please refresh us with Your Living Water to quench our thirst from the deserts of life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
In His Service,
Pastor Dan
Jesus said: “Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life,” John 4:14 ESV

“God’s 10 Commandments of Love” looking at the 4th on God’s Gift of Peace through Authority. Really? But if we don’t have order then we have chaos in our homes, schools, churches, communities, nation, and world. And this command comes with a promise! How can we honor this commandment as we live in the world today?

At both services we continue our God’s 10 Commandments of Love Sermon Series looking at the 5th Commandment. What is the biblical definition of murder? What does it mean to cause no harm to other human beings? What can we do to better care for our fellow man? How do we respect, preserve, and protect human life? |
