Often, we want justice for another person who has wronged us or others, but we want mercy. So, how does the Lord look at justice and mercy?
We explore that as we see who deserved to die and Jesus calling bad people to be His Disciples. This week let the Word of God take our view of justice and mercy and see it from the Lord’s viewpoint for our lives today.
Let us Pray: O God of mercy, please help us better understand how and why You show mercy and how that helps us show mercy to others. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
In His Mercy,
Pastor Dan
Jesus said, “Go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.” Matthew 9:13 ESV

We are reminded of the power in the oneness of God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is in unity with us as One Lord with One Faith by One Baptism. This week we see the Holy Lord God, in vivid fashion, demonstrate how to take an unclean person and purify them through His power. We see how that purity applies to our lives today. Let the Word of God inform and encourage your faith.
Let us Pray: Glory be to You, God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Show us the power to make us pure. In the Name of Jesus. Amen.
With courage,
Pastor Dan

This Sunday and Wednesday we celebrate the Day of Pentecost, the birthdate of the Church.
This weekend we recognize the sacrifices of those who gave their lives in protection of our nation.
We will have a special prayer honoring their sacrifice.
Our worship theme ties to how the ultimate sacrifice Jesus made on your behalf was well worth it.
Having the Holy Spirit inside of you will empower you to believe with gratitude, living a life of real hope.
Do you have the Holy Spirit?
If so, how do you know?
Let the Word of God inform and encourage your faith.
Let us Pray: O Holy Spirit, thank You for the sacrifice of those who gave their lives for our nation and help us be more appreciative of the ultimate sacrifice Jesus made on our behalf. In His Name we pray. Amen.
With gratitude,
Pastor Dan
And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Acts 2:38 ESV

Miley Berrier, Aiden Hartman, and Carter Stocker will be welcomed into Communicant membership through the Rite of Confirmation at the 9am service.
- What exactly is confirmation?
- Why do we need it?
- What does this have to do with preparations for Holy Communion?
Let the Word of God instruct your heart in love to properly understand the role of Confirmation for your life and how the Lord prepares you for His Supper.
Let us Pray: O Lord, please confirm in us Your love and the confession of faith You give us to prepare us for the assurance of Your grace in Your Supper. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
Peace,
Pastor Dan
