April 11, 1941 - May 5, 2024 Orfordville, WI - Ruth Ann Peterson, 83, of Orfordville, WI, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Janesville, WI.

She was born on April 11, 1941 in Flint, MI, the daughter of Walter and Lucille (Daust) Brohn. Ruth was a Beloit Memorial High School graduate. She later attended beauty school in Greenville, MS. Ruth married William Peterson on March 31, 1962 at Trinity Lutheran Church. He predeceased her on June 7, 2016.

Ruth was formerly employed as a beautician. Throughout her years she was active at Trinity Lutheran Church, Beloit, WI, and St. John's Lutheran Church, Beloit, WI and made many friends through the church she considers family. Ruth was on many bowling teams. She enjoyed babysitting, knitting, and spending her summers up north at the cabin. Her grandchildren were very important and she cherished the time spent with each of them.
Survivors include her children, Todd (Deb) Peterson, Chris Peterson, Cheryl (Steve) Fisher, and Tanya Peterson; grandchildren, Troy (Lindsey) Kjendlie, Tiana Kjendlie, Danielle Peterson, Ashley Peterson, and Amara Rindfleisch; four great-grandchildren; sister, Gerri Jacob; brother, Robert Brohn; several nieces and nephews.
Ruth was predeceased by her parents and brother, Lynn Brohn.

A Memorial Service for Ruth will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2024 in St. John's Lutheran Church, 1000 Bluff St., Beloit, WI, with Pastor Dan Eddy officiating. Visitation of Remembrance will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday in the church. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.
