• This last piece of armor allows us to beat back the adversary who wishes to take us out. That is Satan. He is no match for the Holy Spirit empowering God’s Word. You will hear how this piece of Armor will ensure you win every time when used properly.

We look at the Helmet of Salvation. Helmets protect heads in war because if a bullet, arrow or other weapon penetrates the skull, then death occurs quickly. We explore the Helmet of Salvation and how the Word of God protects us from bad thinking that can kill our faith faster than a bullet to the head. Armor of God #4: Shielding yourself against Satan​. Shield of Faith so we can trust Christ in all circumstances​

• Belts, breastplates, and shoes are great armor for the soldiers. However, when flaming arrows are being launched, those pieces of armament offer limited protection. When used correctly, the shield can protect against any dangerous weapons of the Evil One. We see how this plays out every day with our faith in Christ. This way you can be ready for any attack from Satan.

Armor of God #3: What kind of shoes do you need as an Armor of God?​ God wants us to wear to protect our faith in Christ. What we wear on our feet is based on what activity we are doing.  Shoes for running or biking; shoes for formal occasions; slippers for bedtime; boots for working outside. Shoes protect our feet depending on the activity we choose. We look at shoes that help us bring the gospel of peace to more people. As we move along the rough ground of the world these shoes help us move safely to tell others about the eternal love of Christ. We are ready for action. You will hear how this is done.

Armor of God #2: Protect Your Heart with Christ’s Righteousness
If your heart and lungs aren't protected your life will be in danger. We continue our Midweek Lenten series looking at the 2nd piece of armor (1st piece was last week on Ash Wednesday) God wants us to wear to protect our faith in Christ: It’s the Breastplate of Righteousness. 
​
This piece of armor was used by warriors to protect the vulnerable areas of the lungs and the heart. If you can’t breathe and your heart is not working your whole body dies. The power of Christ’s righteousness protects your heart in Jesus and breathing in His Word. This Wednesday’s mediation will show you how this is done.
