(audio service only)

Julia Ann (Knueppel) Gjerseth, 90, of Beloit passed away on November 6, 2025, at Beloit Memorial Hospital. She was born on November 25, 1934, in Palmyra, MO, to the late Forrest and Wanda (McKelvey) Knueppel. She married Peter Gjerseth on September 10, 1988, and together they shared 37 years of marriage.

Julia worked for Beloit Corporation for over 25 years and was a proud member of their 25 Year Club.

She and Pete enjoyed traveling around the United States in their motor home, visiting 47 states. They also traveled all the way to New Zealand, Australia, Holland, Germany, and many other countries. She loved to stay active and enjoyed dancing, playing cards and golfing; she even achieved her first hole-in-one at 75. Julia was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Beloit, and was a volunteer at Beloit Memorial Hospital for 25 years. She was most proud of being a mother and with her children involved in every sport back in the day, she never missed a game or meet; she was their number one fan.

Julia is survived by her husband Peter; her children, Forrest (Judy) Voss, Vicky (Todd) Gosden, Cindy (Brian) McMartin, Paul (Kristi) Voss, Tami (Chall) Jenkins, Kim (Dave) Hammack; grandchildren, Shannara, Grant, Julia, Megan, Lucas, Michael, Jason, Joni, Chall, Caleb, Amber, Joseph; great-grandchildren, Ezekiel, Stevie, BillieJo, Michael John, Connor, Stella, Greyson, Evelyn, Andrew, and one future great-grandchild; siblings, Mary Knueppel, Henry (Sue) Knueppel; goddaughter Kathy and godson Forrest; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Forrest Knueppel, and first husband and father of her children, Fred Voss.

A memorial service will take place at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 11AM. Visitation will take place from 10AM until the time of service at church. Pastor Mark Duer & Pastor Daniel Eddy will officiate.
