Janice Adney, 91, of Beloit, of Beloit, WI, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Autumn Lake Healthcare.
She was born on October 24, 1933 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Lyman and Isabel (Dietsch) Fena. Janice was a 1952 Beloit Memorial High School graduate. She married Richard Adney on November 4, 1955 at the Atonement Lutheran Church, Beloit, WI. He predeceased her on November 22, 2021.
Janice was formerly employed by American Family Insurance and retired from Norm Johnson Agency in 1998 after 25 years. She was a volunteer for Caritas, Salvation Army, and the Beloit Snappers. Janice enjoyed knitting, playing cribbage, reading, and spending time at the Beloit Library.
Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia (Wayne) Hart of Janesville, WI; grandchildren, Steven, Eric, Kyle, Tiffany, Kailee, and Kendra; great-grandchildren, Emmett, Charlotte, Benji, Bennett, Zander, and Gabriel; son-in-law, Bart Lessner; and sister, Jean Skinner.
Janice was predeceased by her parents; son, Joe; daughter, Susie Lessner; brothers-in-law, Don Skinner and Eugene Adney; and sister-in-law, LaVonne Adney.
A Funeral Service for Janice will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI, with Pastor Dan Eddy officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation of Remembrance will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time-of-service Saturday in the funeral home.
