BELOIT - Harold S. Wisch, age 77, of Beloit, passed away Monday, August 8, 2022, at home after a terminal cancer diagnosis in May of 2022. Harold was born to Evelyn Fisch Wisch and her Husband on June 5, 1945, in Beloit Wisconsin. Harold persevered a difficult childhood to eventually have and experience a long, full, and fun life.
He attended St. John's Lutheran Elementary School where he first met Kathrine J. Forbes a Classmate that would much later in life become his wife. Harold was cared for by Donald and Velma Tillou of Beloit during his formative years. He graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1963 and enlisted in the United States Air Force and served honorably.
He then came back to Beloit and worked for Beloit Corporation. Harold re-met Kathrine J. Forbes and married her on March 8, 1968. They were married for 50 years until her passing in 2018. Together they had two sons. John and James, whom he loved very much all throughout his life because he was a great father.
Harold also worked for United Industries and founded his own business Your Video Wisch. Harold loved meeting people. He served on the Board of Elders at St. John's Lutheran, and then later served as an Elder for Messiah Lutheran.
Harold loved motorcycling. He traveled the United States on his Honda Gold Wing with his friends Mark, and Roger. He also loved his friends at Earthsong in Janesville and traveled to several cities in the United States with them as well.
Harold was predeceased by his wife Kathrine, all of his relatives practically speaking. His death is mourned by his two sons John and James, his Daughter in-laws Zil, and Angela, and his Grandchildren Aiden, Ali, Adam, and Ziva.
Harold always had a dog in in his life, and Cher seems to miss him daily the most. Man's best friend exemplified in real time.
Harold’s friends will mourn him as well including Cheri who was Harold’s friend and caregiver till the end.
Harold's nicknames by which people knew him by were Butch, Harry, & Dad. No matter what you called him, Harold was funny, and had great wit. He was a friend that would listen and keep your secrets, and he would offer advice when asked. The world is less now that he is gone. It's up to the rest of us to be better as to restore it in his absence. My dad Harold can't say goodbye, so I (John) must do it for him. Thank you for being his friend, relative, co-worker, community member, and or acquaintance. He will miss you, because Harold loved life, and you were part of his life, just as I was. Harold says “goodbye.”
Cremation rites accorded.
