Dean A. McDearmon, age 80, died Sunday October 6, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was born April 24, 1944 to Lawrence and Dorothy (Deets) McDearmon in Sterling, IL. Dean graduated from Mt. Carroll High School, class of 1963, and completed his education at Dunwoody College of Technology. He married Sandra K. Skrede on May 24, 1969. Dean was employed at the Beloit Corp as a Mechanical Engineer and later at Paperchine. He enjoyed following the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs. Dean could regularly be found doing yard work, fishing and visiting casinos.

Dean is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Sandra McDearmon; his children, Kimberly McDearmon, Brian (Christa) McDearmon, & Shawn (Maria Scarpaci) McDearmon, his two grandchildren, Nolan & Autumn. He is further survived by his siblings, Donna Spencer, Jim (Suzo) McDearmon, Doris (Don) Rogers, Joe (Joan) McDearmon, Jane (Rodger) Calsyn, Don (Patty) McDearmon, & Jeff (Karen) McDearmon; and his sisters in law, Pam (Jim) Kirk, Deby Skrede and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws Paul and Ruth Skrede, his sister Judy and her husband Gene Moshure, his sister-in-law, Marcia and her husband Brian Lloyd, his brothers in law, Ted Spencer, and Al Skrede.

The family would like to thank Mercy Hospice and Hospital for the care they gave Dean.

Dean’s Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday October 18, 2024 in the BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit. Friends will be received on Friday in the Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared on our website.
